The Lions Club of Bletchley has run an annual Rock Chorus concert for the last five years raising over £13000 towards local causes. The concerts have been so successful that from 2015 they were moved from the Stantonbury Theatre to a bigger Theatre - The Venue on the Walton High Campus. In order that the maximum amount can be given to the Lions' worthy causes, The Jim Marshall Charitable Trust has come forward with a donation of £1000 towards the 2016 concert.
The picture shows Jonathon Ellery, the MD of Marshall Amplification, being thanked by Lion President Mike Bartlett, supported by some of the Milton Keynes members of Rock Chorus. Lion Mike said “The donation takes a great weight off the club’s shoulders for next years’ concert and allows us to really focus on raising as much as possible for those less fortunate than ourselves. The concerts are already a great success and this will inspire us to make them even more enjoyable.”
Rock Chorus will perform their annual Lions Club 'Big Gig' on April 16th 2016
